Seeks New Board of Directors from the Hawaiian Community

Ke Ali‘i Pauahi Foundation is seeking three candidates from Kamehameha Schools’ alumni, as well as the general public, to serve on its board of directors. Interested candidates should have:

1.  A deep understanding and passion for the Foundation’s mission

2.  The ability to think strategically about the Foundation and its relationship to Kamehameha Schools, its donor audiences and the programs and scholarship funds it supports

3.  The commitment and time to spend in the following ways:

a.  Actively engage in building a network of support for the Foundation (60%)

b.  Communicate the Foundation’s mission and vision (20%)

c.  Fundraising on behalf of the Foundation (20%)

Appointed board members will serve a three-year term of office and will not receive any financial compensation as a board member. 

“This is the first time in the Foundation’s existence that we are engaging the Hawaiian community to get involved with the governing of the Foundation at its highest level,” said Kalei Stern, Ke Ali‘i Pauahi Foundation’s Vice President and Executive Director.  “The new board, which will consist of three new members from the Hawaiian community as well as two trustee members and two executive members from Kamehameha Schools, will provide the balance in strategic leadership and community insight that will help perpetuate Ke Ali‘i Pauahi’s legacy of giving.”
